Watership Down by Richard Adams. I found this book on my son’s bedside table. His girlfriend gave it to him. He read a few pages but no more, moved out of our house and left it there. I’ve been told it’s the favourite of many readers, so now I’m going to discover why. Have read 20 pages or so, and it’s pretty good.

A Slip Under the Microscope by H.G. Wells. This was one of a boxed collection of Penguin Little Black Classics given to me as a present. I’m not normally a sci-fi reader but I’ve read most of the others in the box, so here goes.
