The title of this poem couldn’t be simpler:  Thoughts.

My father was thinking and writing and, it seems, regretting his decision to join the volunteers heading for the Middle East.  Here’s the first verse:

  1. Eric, Thanks for putting yourself in a soldier’s shoes. There are several other verses to this poem but I’m uncertain about electronically sharing the whole thing with the world. Your blog title, Written words never die, was a reminder for me. Thanks.
