{"id":4331,"date":"2013-06-17T06:18:14","date_gmt":"2013-06-17T06:18:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/soundslikewish.wordpress.com\/?p=4331"},"modified":"2013-06-17T06:18:14","modified_gmt":"2013-06-17T06:18:14","slug":"ailsas-travel-photo-challenge-flow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/soundslikewish.org\/?p=4331","title":{"rendered":"Ailsa&#039;s travel photo challenge:  Flow"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I have this photo which is entirely suitable for <a href=\"http:\/\/wheresmybackpack.com\/2013\/06\/14\/travel-theme-flow\/\" target=\"_blank\">Ailsa&#8217;s challenge this week<\/a>.\u00a0 She asks us to open the floodgates and let the creativity flow.\u00a0 Well, this photo is not a product of my creativity but of my treasure-hunting.\u00a0 I found it in my father&#8217;s WWII album, where it&#8217;s entitled &#8216;Weir in Nile&#8217;.\u00a0 The water is certainly flowing!<\/p>\n<p>Often when I want to identify a location in one of these old photos, I can search the web for similar photos, which usually is a sure way of finding details about my image.\u00a0 This time, however, I&#8217;ve been unsuccessful.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve researched the dams,weirs and barrages on the Nile River in Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia and not found any image that resembles mine.\u00a0 It&#8217;s possible that this dam has been rebuilt since the 1940s and now looks completely different.
