trip EVERY month:  June"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This month, well, yesterday, I went to the Deep Space Communication Complex in Tidbinbilla, south-west of Canberra.\u00a0 Relaxing with a coffee in the Moon Rock Caf\u00e9, I had a great view of the largest steerable antenna dish in the southern hemisphere, the DSS43 (Deep Space Station 43), which was staring off into the distance, at this angle:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/soundslikewish.wordpress.com\/2014\/06\/23\/one-trip-every-month-june\/dish-dss43\/#main\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-6003\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" left him alone, I took a closer look, without touching, and in his mirrored helmet visor I caught sight of me and my son, who was reading some information on the wall behind me.\u00a0 I snapped the three of us:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/soundslikewish.wordpress.com\/2014\/06\/23\/one-trip-every-month-june\/astronaut-head\/#main\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-6017\"><img loading=\"lazy\" dabbling in moon history, the DSS43 began to move:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/soundslikewish.wordpress.com\/2014\/06\/23\/one-trip-every-month-june\/dss43-on-the-move\/#main\" rel=\"attachment alt=\"DSS43 on the move, Tidbinbilla\" width=\"750\" height=\"500\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I went out onto the balcony to watch closely as the dish rotated to look straight up at the sky.\u00a0 I wanted to read the information about the big dish and tried to understand it.\u00a0 Of course, I couldn&#8217;t.\u00a0 But perhaps you can.<\/p>\n<p><a Tidbinbilla, the weather was stunningly clear and fine, if wintry.\u00a0 Today it&#8217;s raining, the wind is howling and blizzards are threatening in the mountains.\u00a0 We had picked the perfect
