This is an inviting house tucked away on a hill in Port-Vendres, France. Check out the tricky second entrance, up the ladder.
At the left of the house is a gate surrounded by multicoloured mosaics on both sides. Here’s one side:
Take a look, too, at Ailsa’s travel photos, especially the multicoloured hot springs. Totally awesome. She proposed the multicoloured theme this week.
That needed some patience to do,,, 😉
I wouldn’t want to have to carry my groceries up that ladder! 😉
Cool shots, Trish.
You have to wonder why anyone would want to arrive or leave through that window. Perhaps it’s a fire escape, or a quiet way of arriving home late at night without waking the whole household. Or a quiet way of leaving…
The French have a lot of patience for detail. It’s usually admirable, sometimes questionable.
😀
Sneaky
😀
I love those mosaics on the house, whether it’s the mosaic of painted walls or the actual mosaic column. That second floor entrance is really intriguing. Nicely seen and captured.
Thanks. I wish I were as bold. I imagine the house is brightly coloured inside too.
re: the ladder in the first picture. Looks as though it’s intended for a quick get-away
Yeah, it’d be weird to see someone emerging from that door, but then it would probably only happen at night.
