In the old sketchbooks there are four drawings of reclining women on the phone. They all resemble women from Vargas’s calendars. This one is influenced by Orientalism and is the best of the four.

I love the old black and white photos from the war albums, and also enjoy his poetry, but somehow I forgot that your father was such an amazing artist! (I think the very first of yours posts that I commented on was one of his paintings.) He was a man of many talents that’s for sure. This sketch is fantastic!
