I really like the photo but the painting is even more amazing. Are these feluccas?
Laura, I’ve just been to my dictionary to find out about the word felucca. Clearly, I’m not a boatie. I also went to Wikipedia and it seems the answer is yes, they are feluccas. In the photo album, my father’s caption is simply ‘Canal sailing’ and I know he was in Egypt in 1940/41. Thanks for complimenting his painting. It hid in the album for 70 years…
